ABSTRACT: Evaluating the Effectiveness of Work-Integrated Learning in Vocational Programs is crucial for ensuring students gain practical experience and industry-relevant skills. This study assessed the impact of work-integrated learning (WIL) on vocational education outcomes. The objectives were: to evaluate the current implementation of WIL in vocational programs, to assess the benefits of WIL for students' skills and employability, and to identify challenges and best practices in WIL. A survey design was employed due to its capability to collect comprehensive data from a large number of respondents, providing a detailed analysis. A sample size of 280 vocational training students and industry partners was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include those engaged in WIL programs. The case study focused on the Federal Technical College, Yaba, Lagos State. Findings revealed that WIL significantly enhanced students' practical skills, employability, and confidence. However, challenges such as coordination between institutions and industry, and adequate supervision were noted. It was recommended that vocational programs should strengthen partnerships with industry, provide adequate support and supervision for students, and continuously review and update WIL components to meet industry needs.
